There’s something magical about downtown Charleston in early June—especially when you’re photographing a couple as genuine and full of joy as Emarie and Pete. We wandered through the cobblestone streets under a golden hour sky that felt like it was showing off just for them. Every corner, every historic facade, every breeze coming off the harbor—it all added to the charm of the day.
Emarie is a Charleston native through and through, and you could feel how deeply she’s connected to this city. Pete, whose family is originally from Greece, has this effortless warmth that pairs so beautifully with her adventurous spirit. They both light up when talking about travel, new foods, and exploring cultures together—which is why it makes so much sense that they’re eloping in Greece this fall! They’re planning a destination celebration at an all-inclusive resort, surrounded by the Aegean blue and the heritage of Pete’s roots. It’s going to be breathtaking.
During our session, we explored some of Charleston’s most iconic spots—the ones that make you fall in love with the city all over again. From the quiet charm of the side streets to the buzz of historic landmarks, we soaked in every moment. It felt like the perfect way to honor where Emarie’s story began before these two head off to start their next chapter across the world.
